Update 1.2 - Ships, Maps, and Soundtracks


Hello Arcfest people!

I had originally planned for this to be released near the start of September, before I got bogged down by school work... but then I got bogged down by school work. This patch is a content update to add some variety!

New Spaceships!

Infinity

SPEED###
ACCELERATION########
HANDLING#####
DEFENSE######

Standard cruiser retrofitted to maximize reactive movement.

Voyager

SPEED#######
ACCELERATION####
HANDLING######
DEFENSE####

Long-haul spaceship with hard light fins to allow for higher top speed.

New Maps!

Voidspace

The final frontier.

(Same map as before, just given a name.)

Because this represents the "ideal" arena for the game, all other maps will use Voidspace as a benchmark.

Scrapyard

Arena built out of space junk. Oddly familier.

A homage to the original Arcfest. Comes with a smaller and faster shrinking safe zone, so watch out!

Terra

Home. Or at least, something close enough.

Earth. Longer rounds, tighter arena -- for when you really need to duke it out against someone.

Other Changes

  • Changed "Best of #" to "First to #" in the Match UI (Thanks Grayson!)
  • Updated the flavour text options on the Results screen.
  • Minor touchups to the music of the game.

Soundtrack Release!

I haven't uploaded my game soundtracks before, but I was pretty proud of the work done for Arcfest, so I figured it would be worth it. I'm taking a page from ULTRAKILL's book and releasing the soundtrack with a prefix, if I add a bunch of new songs to the game.
